NEW MOVE TO FUND NEW STAFF IN THE THIRD SECTOR
A major revolution that could attract hundreds of new workers in the Third Sector has been launched in Lancashire. The Future Jobs Fund is primarily aimed at getting 18 – 24 year olds back into employment, with the government funding their minimum wage for six months. Selnet, the Social Enterprise Lancashire Network, is now working with partners to place these young people, who need a helping hand in life, into host companies. The Future Jobs Fund has the potential to bring about the biggest single change to the size of the Third Sector in Lancashire in history
The benefits for your social business are numerous:
Growth: additional staff will allow you to deal with more customers and help your business to grow
Funds: bridging the gap between needing new staff but unable to commit because of the recession
Develop: bring new staff into the Third Sector giving it a stronger presence
Train: bring new skills young people and give them hope for the future
Help: reduce long-term unemployment
