Evaluation
Useful websites and sources of information to evaluate projects and activities
The Paul Hamlyn Foundation
The Paul Hamlyn Foundation in association with the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, has produced an easy to use evaluation resource pack for voluntary sector and community organisations. The pack has been written for front-line workers and volunteers in the voluntary sector to help with evaluating their work. It explains the main aspects of evaluation and project planning and shows how you can collect the evidence you will need to highlight the value of what you do. The illustrated pack, which also contains examples of best practice, costs £12.50 and can be ordered by emailing information@phf.org.uk or going to Website: http://www.phf.org.uk/.
Social auditing: A way to demonstrate the real value of what you do
Social auditing extends traditional financial accounting to also address the social, environmental and other impacts from your organisations activities. It is a useful way to systematically assess your performance, and ensure you are delivering against your organisational mission or purpose. External social auditors can validate the results and propose improvements in your recording and monitoring systems, in the same way financial auditors help monitor the health of your money.
