SELNET is encouraging the development of the social enterprise sector by sharing best practice. It will organise events that will allow social enterprises to showcase their activities, increase their knowledge and networking opportunities.

SELNET Trade Fair 2008

The SELNET - Trade Fair event was held on Tuesday 19th February 2008 to showcase the products and services from a large number of social enterprise organisations in Lancashire and the surrounding area.

The purpose of the Trade Fair was to enable Social Enterprises to exhibit and actively promote the goods and services to public sector organisations. The audience was be procurement officers, commissioning officers and buyers from the public sector and health services, including the emergency services, larger educational establishments and housing associations .

Lancashire County Council will help us promote the event to the public sector.

Building the Network Conference 2007

26 September 2007 at GHS, Preston city centre, Lancashire

Building networks within and beyond Social Enterprise in Lancashire, was the theme of this year's Selnet conference. Participants came from across the North West region and from all sectors.,

Over 70 delegates from social enterprises and public bodies met to learn more about developments in our sector. There were key note speakers, workshops on procurement and legislation changes, showcases of social enterprises and networking opportunities.
